For this painting, my focus was to utilize complementary and vibrant colors to create something surreal and eye catching to the observer. I made this painting after experiencing an overwhelming amount of anxiety in school, so I like to think of it as a reflection of how the start of high school felt.

“SPLIT!” was a Regional Silver Key winner in the 2018-2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. It was also exhibited at Cape Cod Community College and The Cultural Center of Cape Cod through the Cape and Islands Workforce Development Board ArtWorks program.
